FAQs

  • Where is The Baldy Retreat
    The Baldy Retreat will be hosted at Tall Trees Glamping in Glastonbury, Somerset. The nearest train station is Castle Cary. If arriving on Day 1 of the retreat, a shuttle will be provided from the station. A shuttle will also be provided on the final day of The Baldy Retreat to ensure you get back to the station safely. There are also parking spaces on site for anyone who wishes to drive. The postcode is BA6 8LG.
  • What do I need to bring?
    A packing list will be sent closer to the time. Once all activities have been finalised.
  • How will rooms / beds be assigned?
    All beds will be assigned on a first come first served basis. If you do want to ensure a private room, you need to be quick! In each safari tent there are 2 private options and 1 shared option. In total we have 10 shared options and 8 private options. If your baldy pal has purchased the same ticket as you and you wish to share a room, you can request this when the special requirements questionnaire is sent out. Please note that the cabin beds in the safari tents will require the use of ladders.
  • I have special requirements. How do I communicate these?
    A questionnaire will be sent out prior to arrival. This will include questions on emergency contacts, dietary requirements and room mate preferences. There will also be a section for comments or questions for anything you think we might have missed.
  • I don't have hair loss can I still come?
    As this is the very first Baldy Retreat, we will be keeping this strictly to women with hair loss to ensure a safe space for all in attendance. If you have a friend who would like to join who doesn’t have hair loss unfortunately on this occasion they will not be able to attend. The dream is to open this up to those without hair loss and even mixed gender in the future, so keep your eyes peeled for more information on future retreats.
  • If I can't attend, can I get a refund on my ticket?
    If you have paid in full, you can receive a refund for your ticket minus the ticketing fee and £50 non refundable deposit. If you are paying with monthly installments and are cancelling before the full amount is paid, any amount you have paid, minus the ticketing fee and deposit will be held in credit and can be used on a future retreat or event. Any cancellations after 1st March will be non-refundable. Full terms and conditions can be found here.
